This t-shirt/poster design was for the annual Allentown Art Festival competition for 2019. The design is a fourteen-inch square digital media design, with the intention to marry art with architecture in a graphic style.

This piece began its life as a pixeled version of the Buffalo skyline mixed with layers of watercolor. The design developed into a strong game-like style which deviated from the feel of an art festival. In contrast to the geometric approach, a painterly feel was adopted. The skyline became a subtle background accent, the watercolor became a soft gradient which was infused in a blend of the word Buffalo, the typography of important values to the community became texture, and the bold brush stroke of the paint palette came forward as the focus.
